Tim, I mean Kim, Petras

Looking at those two pictures, you would never guess that they are of the same person. No, I'm not kidding you. The first picture is of a young boy named Tim Petras. When he was sixteen years Tim had an operation and became Kim. I cannot, in good conscience, call "Kim" a she. I'm sorry, but when he was born, Tim was very much a boy. That is how he was meant to be.
When Tim was twelve, he began hormone treatments. Twelve! He says that he has "known" he was a woman since he was two. I do not believe that any young boy can know he is a woman, at two or at twelve!
The operation required to turn Tim's body into that of a female was illegal until he reached the age of sixteen. Now that he is of appropriate maturity, Tim can legally declare himself a female.
"I was asked if I feel like a woman now, but the truth is I have always felt like a woman -- I just ended up in the wrong body" You cannot "end up" in the wrong body. That is implying that a mistake has been made. Sorry, but God does not make mistakes. One cannot simply decide that he, or she, is not satisfied with the gender that they are and change it to suite their desires!
Unfortunately, this is the world as we know it. Our society is slowly (or perhaps not so slowly) losing sight of what is good and right, and letting their morals fall by the side. It scares me to think of what will happen to our world in the hands of men such as this one.

  1. Those kind of stories are always a bit disturbing. And really, what were his parents thinking when they let him do that??

  3. Saying you are a short person living in a tall person's world implies that there was a mistake made -by god- about either your height or the height of others; kind of like saying "I'm a girl living in a boy's body".

I agree very much so with the Anonymous comment. You can take your religion and shove it; Christians are one of the most hypocritical religions around. You preach to accept people and then you can't help but spill out all these vile words about everyone who isn't you.

If you're honestly so unhappy with your life that you can't just leave everyone else alone then your 'god' isn't doing a very goo job of providing you with a full and prosperous life. And if your life really is that fulfilling leave the 'sinners' alone; if they want your faith they'll be able to find it. This world is teaming with bigots like you who would just love to convert someone like Kim.

  4. No, saying that I'm a short person living in a tall person's world implies that the world does not make accomadations for shorter people.

If you don't like my relationship, than you don't have to read what I write. I don't preach about accepting people, in fact, I am against "accepting" sin.

I am not unhappywith my life, and God never said that he would make it full and prosperous. On the contrary, he said that it would be filled with hardships and oppositions. I am so in love with my God that I am willing to face these oppositions. I would love to "convert" Tim, if I ever have the pleasure of meeting him. If I do meet him, our meeting will not be one of strife and hostility, because I will treat him with the love that God has for him. However, I do not condone behaving in such a way.

  6. I honestly don't think you should care what anyone else but you do and how anyone else but YOU live your life...If you don't like what she's done, fine, shrug it off and move on with life, she isn't posting any blogs saying shit like, "You cannot simply believe in God and stay the same sex you are, I think everyone should get a sex change!" NO she isn't! Just because she did it doesn't mean that any anyone is expecting you to do it as well.

I agree with Anonymous and Krinto and anyone else against your judgements, Christains ARE hypocrytical people who judge EVERYONE else without ever once considering taking a look at their own lives or if they even have the RIGHT to judge anyone.

When I found out about this girl I didn't think "SHe's so dicusting!" I thought, "I'd never do that but I'd like to know her story behind why."

By the way, Douche Bag, I'm pretty sure that isn't her, I saw one that looked more accurate to her facial features earlier and that's not it, also, Tim has brown hair, even as a child.

Learn a lesson and fuck off

    Thank you

  7. It appears to me that everyone but fairyfeet and the first poster are the ones being hypocritical and attacking; you accuse fairyfeet of being judgemental when you yourselves are attacking her without knowing her; that would seem to be judgemental to me. At least she has a set of standards that she holds to in her life; they aren't arbitrary or hypocritical.
Another point is that you are lumping her together with all of these hypothetical "Christians". Saying that all Christians are hypocritical and "child-rapists" is absolutely untrue, just like saying that all non-christians are murderers and thieves is untrue. Lumping people together in one category is highly illogical, and does not help strengthen any argument. It seems like most of the people commenting here are personally attacking fairyfeet, or perhaps fairyfeet's religion, without evidence and without direction, using this story as a jumping point, not the actual topic. If you want to blindly attack someone's faith, that's your decision, but don't expect people to think better of you for it.

  8. Thank you for saying what you did, Anonymous today at 1:12 P.M.
To the rest of you, excluding "Fairyfee," if you want to make a point, you may wish to consider how to argue. Generalizations, harsh words (based on nothing more than opinions, hearsay, etc.), and ranting won't persuade people to see you point of view. If anything, it will turn people off.
What was created as natural has been under attack over the last 20-30 years or so. In nature, the only species of life that can change gender naturally and completely lives on the ocean floor. If Tim/Kim is human, he/she/it does not fall into this category of life. A change in gender for humans will not accomplish anything genetically, nor can it be accomplished genetically. When has an effeminate man had the genetic potential to bear children? Something to think about. Concerning the Christian point of view, a certain apologist would say, "It was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve."
The generalizations of Christians as "hypocrites" and "child-rapers" are true on a smaller scale, but they are extreme. I am not either of those, and I don't know any who are the latter. Unfortunately, a bad experience or a "description" can leave a marred image in a person's mind. One who truly loves the Lord and believes the Bible cannot condone such behavior as hypocrisy and lust. Only a perverted mind can live in these descriptions and still call himself a Christian.
A judgemental Christian does not show compassion and concern. "Fairyfeet"'s tone is not harsh, as compared to some. Consider this: you bash her in and then accuse her of bashing you? The logic of accusing someone of doing the very deeds of the accuser is missing somehow. Furthermore, using the basest words of the English vocabulary doesn't really cater to the "hypocrite" issue. If you are trying to show that your worldview and lifestyle is better than those of the Christians, using the other extreme (pleasant language, reasonable arguments) would most likely be more effective. Keep that in mind.
A Christian is encouraged to show the reasons for evils and then attempt, through sound arguments, to reprove them. Furthermore, he is commanded to preach what he believes. It's not as if he is "unhappy" with his life; he is actually *so* "happy" that he wants to share his joy and peace.
I must say to those of you who relentlessly attacked "Fairyfeet," it would behoove you to understand the opposing point of view before hammering away on tangents that may be of offense *personally*. Your choice of "arguments" and language catered to my perception that you were angered by a reference point rather than the topic of discussion. I encourage you to read the Bible for yourselves, particularly the New Testament. Perhaps then you'll be able to understand our point of view. And notice, I am not shoving my "religion" down your throat; I am merely encouraging you to examine it at your own convenience. :-)

  9. I'm a Christian myself, but I don't agree with this posting. Some children are born with both male and female parts. What do we call them? Do the parents decide and then just hope that their hormones later in life agree with the choice they had made? I think that it is important not to judge so easily. I remember Jesus saying something about a stone... what was it? Oh yeah, let he who is without sin throw the first one.

  10. HELLO, I AM CHRISTIAN, I LOVE GOD, AND I BELIEV WITH ALL MY HEART THAT JESUS CHRIST IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR. & I WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW, THAT NOT ALL CHRISTIANS ARE HYPOCRITCAL. (AND WE DONT ALL RAPE LITTLE CHILDREN)

I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THE PERSON WHO POSTED THIS BLOG, AND I AM EMBARRESSED. YOU GUYS ARE RIGHT. S/HE HAD ABSOLUTLY NO RIGHT IN JUDGING KIM. NONE OF US DO. BECAUSE NONE OF US ARE GOD, OR IN THE LEAST BIT PERFECT. AND OBVIOUISLY, THE PERSON WHO WROTE THIS BLOG DOESNT REALIZE THIS. PERSONALLY, I SIN EVERY DAY, THEREFORE I SHOULDNT JUDGE SOME ONE ELSE.. WHO ARE WE TO SAY WHICH SIN WEIGHS MORE? MURDER, LYING? ITS ALL STILL SINNING.

FAIRYFEE, YOU SAID YOU'D LOVE TO CONVERT KIM IF YOU MET HER? WELL GUESS WHAT? THAT'S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, BECAUSE > WE < DONT CONVERT PEOPLE, JESUS DOES. AND JESUS DOESNT CONVERT PEOPLE BY JUDGING THEM AND TELLING THEM THEYRE WRONG, HE DOES IT BY LOVING THEM. AND IM SORRY, BUT YOU MOST DEF. ARENT DEMONSTRATING ANY LOVE. INSTEAD OF WASTING YOUR TIME JUDGING PEOPLE AND TELLING THEM WHAT THEY SHOULD AND SHOULDNT DO, YOOU SHOULD BE LETTING THEM KNOW THAT THERE IS A GOD, WHO LET HIS SON DIE FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, BECAUSE HE LOVES US ALL. YES, HE LOVES US ...AS WE ARE, REGARDLESS OF WHAT WE'VE DONE. RATHER THAN TELLING PEOPLE THAT THEYRE SINNERS, YOU SHOULD LET THEM KNOW THAT JESUS LOVES THEM, AND ABOVE ALL, DONT FORGET TO ANALYZE YOURSELF. ITS CHRISTIANS LIKE YOU WHO RUIN IT. WHO MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR OTHERS TO SEE GODS LOVE, BECAUSE YOUR TOO BUSY SCARING THEM AWAY. JESUUS NEVER WENT UP TO SOMEONE AND TOLD THEM THEY WERE WRONG; HE DEMONSTARTED GODS PERFECT LOVE, AND GAVE THEM A CHANCE. HE STOOD BY THEM AND HEALED THEM, HE DIDNT THROW STONES! SO PLEASE, KEEP THAT IN MIND FOR THE NEXT TIME. ALTHOUGH YOU WANT TO SIMPLY EXPRESS YOUR FEELINGS, KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU CAN SCARE THOUSANDS AWAY FROM EVER KNOWING THE GOD WE KNOW. AND THATS PRETTY SELFISH.

JESUS LOVES YOU ALL, AND LIKE I SAID, HE ACCEPTS YOU AS YOU ARE. AND [IF]HE NEEDS TO CHANGE SOMETHING IN YOU, THEN > HE < WILL DO IT ON HIS OWN.

  11. I respect your opinion in this article...as it is, indeed your right to express those views. However, personally, I disagree.

People ARE born into the 'wrong' bodies. With emotions and thoughts that do are decidedly of the opposite gender along with the feelings that their bodies are wrong.

This is based on DNA...NOT on a personal desire to be out of the 'norm'. Kim Petras is a beautiful girl who just happened to have the wrong basic chemical makeup. Not her fault. Not your fault. Just the way some things are.

You cannot tell me that God made us how we are MEANT to be...not in a world with Lesch-Nyhan.

    Peace.

  12. I was going to try and clear up your misconseptions about transexual people until you mentioned God and how he doesn't make mistakes. I was going to explain how some people end up with more than two sex chromosomes, causing a birth defect that makes the body not match the mind, but...You don't believe in birth defects, apparently. This girl was born with a birth defect and the surgery fixed it, simpe as that. Keep on living in your fantasy world of superstition and false morals. You can continue living the rest of your life being uneducated about this condition, but dear god DON'T blog about it. You're only embarrasing yourself. This is a matter of fixing a scientific error in her physical structure, not defying god or changing society.

  13. OMG... i feel sorry for the person who worte this...
Is very sad to know that people still think that way.
Anyway... poor you girl... just one thing... If SHE always felt like a WOMAN and SHE changed HER gender is because SHE never ever felt like a BOY. so is very stupid from you to call HER as a HE instead of SHE.
She is a girl in every way... and a very cute girl, more than a lot of biological girls, and more than YOU. I really think youre secretly jealous of Kim, because althought she was born as a boy and all that stuff, you'll never be as pretty as she...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh, good old Christians, so full of shit that a toilet gets jealous.
"God does not make mistakes". Really? God can be racist (which God is) and God can be sexist (which God is) but God can't make mistakes, hmmm? If anybody and I mean ANYBODY uses the "God defence/offence" then they don't actaully have a arguement of their own and probbaly has an I.Q. same as a brunt toast...Anyway I could say more about Christians and such but I'm not.
Congrats to you Kim and enjoy your new life, well kinda new. And let me say, you look very cute.
I was also thinking about having a sex change operation.
For one, I'm pretty "girly" and a feel like a girl BUT I'm NOT attracted to men. There is just one thing in my eyes that is better than being a guy who likes girls (not meaning that any other attraction is bad), and it's actually BEING a girl who also likes girls (THIS IS NOT MY ONLY REASON BUT IT'S BASCILLY THE MAIN REASON).

  15. you people who say its wrong its not what if u wanted to play with barbie or try on dresses but your she was comfortable in her original body so u people shut the fuck up your and about god not making mistakes everybody makes mistakes.Plus kim is now a singer on youtube and she is really good, and if don't have anything good to say about her then don't say anything.
    hooooooorrrrrrrrraaayyyy to kim

    ReplyDelete
  16. A christian view: although most people would do sex change simply for their personal kicks and benefits (wrong, and immoral) , I TOTALLY SUPPORT Kim. God makes each and every one of us different in every possible way , be it colour, gender, voice, personality, talents .... God created her THIS way. and although she was born as a boy she had quite a lot of female DNA in her as well which makes her (and always has) a girl. God puts different obstacles in our lives'. But through Jesus and his love (and our faith and determination) we can overcome anything to glorify His holy name.

Even as a Christian, I completely belief in what this young lady said and stated and i am happy for her, and other christians should be too.

    Go Kim !

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well. These arguments are troubling. I know I will treat Kim with respect, regardless of what I or any other person believes. Opinions are not priority here. She is what she is, regardless of what is said or thought. Christians say love the sinner and hate the sin. Christians, you should know that sin is apart of a sinner. To love the sinner is to accept them regardless of what they have done or still do. Its called unconditional love. To love with the agenda of making someone better or getting them saved is not unconditional love, and you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Those who don't agree with her, love her.

Those who don't agree with with those who agree with her, love them too.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm also very troubled by these arguments. God does say accept everyone, but you do not have to agree with their choices. I personally do not agree with it, but who am I to say anything about anyone's happiness? Nobody. As a christian I can pray for her and hope her the best in life. God is a perfect God and he doesn't make mistakes. People make their own choices, God is not in control of the choices we chose to make in life. Hitler and Manson chose to kill those people. He didn't make a mistake with Kim//Tim or whatever the way you want to look at it, Kim chose this life for herself, it is possible to become confused.

  20. continuing on with the story...

this is living proof that dreams can come true. she dreamed all her life that she wanted to be a woman, and when she got her wish...im sure she was the happiest. she is probably very grateful of everything that she has.

AND THE REASON HER PARENTS LET HER DO THIS IS BECAUSE THEY LOVE HER AND WANT HER TO BE HAPPY. they care for her deeply and they showed this.

  22. Ok when I first read this I was going to be slandours and rude. Kim has every right to be the woman she was ment to be. But after reading some post I started to understand. We cant make you accept that kim is a young and beautiful woman who happend to be born male. We wont make our point clear if we just say rude and hurtful things like you do. You have a right to your oppnion and we have a right to ours. If you don't like what Kim has done then just leave her alone.

  23. 1 Corinthians 1:18-19 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
    "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Unfortunately we can't expect non believers to understand our convictions and the truth of the bible. They'll just see it as hypocrisy and judgement. The standard argument against all Christians by those who oppose us. Granted yes, there are horrible examples of Christians out there. That is a sad reality. But this is another famous line "Love the sinner, hate the sin." You're right Jesus would love, but under no conditions would he tolerate. Do you know the woman at the well story? (John 4) Jesus talked to her, which #1 no man would talk to a woman who led that kind of lifestyle. She had many husbands and currently lived with a man who wasn't her husband, and Christ pointed out the very obvious, and told her about the living water she needed and that was available to her. It is so beautiful, so if anyone once says the Christian religion is about judgement and hate, then I suggest you open up the bible and read it for yourself. Don't go off second hand feeding of what he said she said. Get it from the mouth of Christ. I hope you one day find the peace and salvation that is offered to you. God loves you as you are, but will expect you to change for the better. We are not mean to be slaves to sin.

As for "Kim" goes. There is no argument that can condone what she did. Fact: God doesn't make mistakes. Fact: People out of their own free will choose to be Hitler's and rapists. God did not intend for the to be so, however if he micromanaged all of our actions, then where would the free will be in choosing to love him. He gives us freedom, and we as people in our pain and suffering experience the repercussions of other's actions, and even our own mistakes and wrong choices.

    1. I just wanted to respond to your post because i couldn't help but laugh.

Let's first take a good look at where Christianity has failed the world...

      Salem witch trials
      The crusades

Better yet let's take a look at an essay written by someone on a forum backed by a ton of research...
http://www.captaincynic.com/thread/48859/christian-crimes-against-humanity.htm and i personally checked out every single source listed for accuracy and it all checks out.

So now let's discuss your reply to this blog page...

You are right when you said god does not make mistakes but nor does he create life with perfection either, instead he gives us all flaws and issues we have to overcome and i believe with my conviction that Kim did what she did as god intended for her to do. I do not believe for a second that god is happy with Christianity at all, i mean look at how we have twisted and abused the teachings he has given us all in the name of control and power... Sadly when he gave us free will he also gave us the power to use the knowledge he gave us to do good and also bad things... We choose to do something truly monstrous and this choice is stronger than ever today.

If you wish to debate this further then you can contact me on Facebook, i am Jacob Heckman and i live in fort Wayne, Indiana. But my hope is that you open your mind from the box you keep it in and actually use a little more critical thinking. I know your faith has robed you of that but please try!

  24. what were her parents thinking? they cared about her, thats what; they knew they'd be scrutinized by the public but they also knew their daughter and they loved her. this is highly possible; since she was quite young and even when she turned 12 she knew she was a girl- there was no way that she could associate herself to her male-like body. transgender children are purely geniune- how can a child "lie" about their gender (at age two, when i teased my brother that he was a girl, he retorted that he wasn't- he clearly knew HIS gender). I'm not actually sure about the scientific evidence behind this, but this is highly possible to happeneing. her parents probably couldn't understand it, but they knew and loved their daughter- they sacrificed themselves for her.

  25. I kind of became bored after reading a few of these comments about how she is sinning against the world. I was brought up Christian, but it was always drilled that the only thing that God cannot accept is blatant disbelief in Him.

It's her life and I'm glad that she has the freedom to make her own choice. I think it's better for her to have a gender change than become depressed and suicidal if she grew up male.

  26. There is no such thing as god. Prove it if you choose to argue. You can't. Neither can I, mind you. But, when I say this know that YOUR holy guidance. YOUR rule book tells YOU not to judge. Whose place is it to judge? Any TRUE christian knows the answer to this. They pray by themselves or with their christian companions. You put this shit out on the net because you FEEL like you're only preaching to the clouds, but everyone can hear you.

I won't come back here again, I won't argue any further, so go ahead and respond to this and feel as though you've won. But let me tell you this.. it is not your place to say what is right or wrong. Your god tells you that it/he/she is the only one who can judge those who have passed. Maybe you should respect your overseer's rules and let it/him/her decide whether or not this person is sick or sane.

I hope all of you preaching types end up in your hell, if you're right, and wonder what the fuck happened. Me? I'm absolutely fine with being a good, mannered, moral human being and without judging others is sent to your hell simply for not believing in ANY god. To me, such a god is not worth believing in in the first place.

  27. You are obviously very ignorant. Who are you to doubt how Kim feels? Who are you to doubt the years of ridicule, harassment, and everything else from people LIKE YOU? She has to live with the constant of fear of being killed or harassed all because of who SHE is. Imagine if you (assuming you're a woman) had a penis and were forced to go through an entire male puberty, but were still YOU on the inside. Wouldn't feel very good, would it? That's exactly how Kim feels. And you are completely right, God doesn't make mistakes, he makes challenges. I don't ever remember Kim saying God made a mistake. So how can you say that's what she thinks? Let's say you had a baby born with cleft pallet. Did God make a mistake by making that baby?

  29. I have read the bible, it was wright by humans to control other humans. Also Jesus was Jewish and to say other wise is insulting a good man. I believe he is a smart men who wanted to make the world a happier place where the Romans where not surprising it. To take his name and use it to opposed others and insult them is wrong and Jesus would not approved of it.

Oh and if the bible had truth in it...bad Christensen with power...like the church leaders of the middle ages edit all the good stuff out so they can use it, I said before contour humans.

No one here is always good..we all sin and i know all you people agree..and for the ANONYMOUS who talked about Hitler n other bad people who were born on this earth..you were apparently not thinking when you were writing because he made his decisions for himself..his parents might be of good people but God was not at fault for doing what he did God put us on this planet to decide freely not under his power...

  32. First of all, Did God make a mistake when people are not satisfied with only three adult teeth and have major surgery to correct it? No, what are thistles? What scares me is religious people wanting to enforce their views on others, and unfortunately it will succeed. Remember it was religions people who killed Jesus, and the anti Christ will be very much Christian and religous. I happen to Like Petras, she lives in the country of Martin Luther the Reformer.

  41. First, don't curse. There is no need. Second, I think transgender people are not sinning by being transgender. The bible never refers to transgender people. Neither does the Torah or the Quran. The book of Deuteronomy does speak against cross dressing (when you are not trans), but if you are trans than you are legitimately, psychologically the opposite gender. The book of Genesis also states that homosexuality is wrong, but once again, a trans-woman is not a man. Also, the term "Born into the wrong body" is kind of inaccurate, as in God did not make a mistake, but intentionally assigned someone a different sex and gender. It is correct that God does not make mistakes. More importantly, Christians are not F***** up, although some of us don't think clearly and can be very bias, and some are ignorant.
